If I were to categorize monsters i would put them into groups by what they do that makes them bad, what they look like, and how they became evil.

My favorite kind of stories/movies that I like that have monsters in them is Monsters v. Humans. I especially like the movies that have them in it. The only thing i don't like is the fact that they always of someone running from the monster and then they trip and fall and then all of a sudden the monster catches up. I hate that. Especially when the person is running and the monster is walking.

I would group them somewhat like Katie. Only I would also have a category for where they live; like what parts of the world they are from , if they have more than one side to them and what they do to their victims.

I like movies that have humans that turn into monsters and they attack their peers. Because it to me is more real, because everyone secretly dislikes something a family member or a friend does so what they are doing is taking that hate from being a human and turning it into a thing monsters don't like. So I guess I like a Human/Monster v. Human because everyone has a little monster in them.

Brittany- I would sort of go in katies direction with how they act that makes them bad because like in the Goonies the monster wasnt actually a monster he just looked like a monster and I dont think thats fair. Another example is one of the monsters in the Hills Have Eyes he tries to help them so they could live. And he's not a bad guy he just doesnt look as pretty.

Brittany- I agree with Sam because I like seeing the different types of animals because there are many different kinds of animal monsters and there is only one human they just give them special powers or deform them.

I would categorize them in groups of the type of monster they are.
Such as machines, like the evil robots from Transformers.

I would categorize monsters into different genres, like "50s monsters" "60s monsters," monsters through the years.

I would also categorize, "Monsters with weird skin," "Monsters with horns," "Monsters with fangs," etc., about their attributes.

I'd also put them in categories of how evil they are.
Such as - Harmless, Moderate, or Extremely dangerous.

The types of stories that I like are the Hero vs. the villan. I know that it is a common one to like but they are my favorite like the batman movies, i'll fins myself sitting there for hours just looking through my tv trying to find a movie like these because they seem so interesting to me.

Grouping them could be hard or easy maybe you could group them on what type of adventure they are having like In Lord of the Rings Frodo has to walk and destroy the ring but in Spiderman he just kind of sits around and waits for the villain to go to him and kills him if he has to...

If I were to have to characterize heroes and monsters I think that I would characterize them by how well they are know, like how popular they are or what they have for powers because I would find it the easiest

I would catagorize monsters as being Creature or Human. Creature monsters would be Werewolves, the lockness monster, and dragons. Human monsters would be people like the guy Freddy Cruger, Jason X, and the guy from the Texas chainsaw masacre.
