There is A LOT of information on this site, including some interactive components. Share some of the pages you visited. See if you can share some of the following:

my favorite thing about this cite is how it says it isn't up anymore. Taboo though is something that is shunned upon in society.

I like that the site is easy to use.

My favorite part about this site is that it has tables that are easy to understand and they make finding info easy.
The four types of monsters are...
1. Technological Monsters
2. Human Monsters
3. Ecological Monsters
4. Reanimated Monsters
Our ideas change as we age because we are more influenced by what is going on it the world and how it changes our opinions about everything. Most people think that terrorists are monsters and other people that conflict themselves on the United States.

Brittany- There are four types of monsters Technological, ecological
Human and Reanamated. I think that part when you click on the first site when you can reanamate a zombie a vampire and a mummy they look cool when they are together. Also I think the veiw of a monster changes as you get older because as you get bigger you can protect yourself more and you start to not believe that they are real anymore.

Taboo?
Doesn't it mean something that shouldn't be done?
Something socially wrong.

The four types of monsters are Technological Monsters, Human Monsters, Ecological Monsters, and Reanimated Monsters.

A taboo is defined as "improper or unacceptable."

I like the fact that the site is easy, and it includes human monsters. I liked the fact that human monsters are included; sometimes those are forgotten, but I like that this site includes them.

This web site is really interesting I love the human monsters and how they explain insanity :D I really do think we are all afraid to go insane and if we do rules do not matter ^.^

Also, I think as we age, the idea of a monster changes in our heads.

When kids are little, they don't think that the creepy old man down the street is a monster; they think monsters are things living under their beds or in their closet. Kids are innocent and trusting, so they don't think people could hurt them.

I think when people get older, that innocence is lost and people start to fear the unknown. They fear the man down the street because he's peculiar, or the lady at the grocery store because she has eleven toes. We begin to get scared of things we don't know about, and those become monstrous to us.

People also fear common things- their kids getting kidnapped, rape, abuse, etc. These are so common now, that it isn't strange to understand why people fear them.

Four types of monsters are technological, human, ecological, and reanimated monsters. Taboo is a chart that gives a list of characteristics like animalistic behavior and cannibalism. It marks what monsters have what qualities. My favorite thing about this site is the reanimated monsters. They look really cool and like something you would see in a movie.

Like Karen said, as we age the idea of monsters tend to not be on our mind as much. When we are little we get scared more often and sometimes our imaginations lead us to believe that the monsters are true. As you get older you forget about those monsters that use to make you scared and move on with your life.

Mariah- i looked for the website both ways and couldn't find it but i know what taboo is
taboo is forbidden to profane use or contact because of what are held to be dangerous supernatural powers or a prohibition against touching, saying, or doing something for fear of immediate harm from a supernatural force.

i looked mostly at the zombies and the human monsters. the zombies were interesting, but the entire site felt unsatisfying as though they left a big chunk of the information out. a lot of monsters that i expected to be on there weren't and the information and basicly the entire site felt outdated. i mean, don't get me wrong, some of it was good stuff, like about the origian of zombieism and all that. but whatever.
