Week 2: Exploring

Now that you have started thinking about types of monsters and heroes, it is time to prepare for our first project. With one or two partners, create a "catalog" of monsters and/or heroes that fit in some sort of category. YOU and your partners will come up with the category. The more examples you have, the higher your grade.

For this week, you should look at others' comments from last week and continue to comment back and forth. See if you have any knowledge in common. Then try to "partner up." E-mail me when you think you have a grouping and possible category. Help others find partners and groups, too. I have observed from your comments that some of you share an interest in Greek mythology, some of you are movie experts, some of you lean toward popular culture...what do you think?

We are becoming (gasp!) ...a ...fifteen-headed organism! (is that a monster?) :}

I am a movie/pop culture buff, moreso leaning towards popular culture. Anyone interested in that can pair up with me if they want to, I don't really have a preference either way.

G.I. Joe is the best super hero ever.

He is better then any other super hero. Period. I am right. If you don't agree with me, then you are wrong.

Hi, all,

I know there was some confusion about this blog, but you are interacting, which I like to see. No fair using a name we don't know! Don't sign "anonymous!"

Pop culture is characters that have somehow struck a chord in society, that come up across types of media and communication. Think of hit movies, TV shows, etc.

What are anime heroes? Are they those Japenese characters?
